In the bowl of a food processor, place flour, salt, and shortening. Process using pulse button until mixture is mostly blended and resembles corn meal. With processor running, pour in water. Scrape down sides and pulse two times. Remove dough from bowl and shape into two balls. On a lightly floured surface, slightly flatten ball and then roll out into a 12" circle. Wrap it around rolling pin and transfer to pie plate. Repeat for second dough ball. Bake as directed in recipe.

Okay, so I was a fan of buying premade pie crust because I was not about to take the time and effort to make a pie crust. Then, I forgot to buy the pie crusts I needed for a recipe so I HAD to make it from scratch. I don't think I'll ever go back! This tasted amazing...so much yummier than premade and probably a little healthier too.
