Cider Glazed Pumpkin Cake

1 yellow cake mix (regular or gluten-free)
1 can pumpkin puree
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp. apple cider
1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
Using a hand mixer, beat yellow cake mix and pumpkin puree until well incorporated.  The batter will be thick.  Pour batter into a greased 7x11 or 9x9 pan.  Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.  Meanwhile, combine powdered sugar, apple cider, and pumpkin pie spice, adding more cider or sugar if needed.  The glaze should be thick but pourable.  Pour over the cake while it is still warm.  Serve the cake warm or room temperature.
